Custom orthotics and orthoses in Paris
Pierre-Emmanuel Giraud is an orthotist specialising in foot orthotics. He assesses how you stand, walk and run, then makes your custom insoles and hand or wrist orthoses by hand, in the workshop of his practice near the Latin Quarter.
What the practice offers
Foot & gait assessment
Interview, clinical examination, static analysis on a pressure plate and dynamic analysis of walking and running on a treadmill. You receive a written report.
Custom foot orthotics
Insoles made to measure for heel pain, flat or high-arched feet, forefoot pain, bunions or sport. Made for your shoes: everyday, running, court, cycling or ski boots.
Custom thumb & wrist orthoses
Thermoplastic orthoses moulded on your hand: thumb arthritis, carpal tunnel, tendinitis, after a fracture or sprain.
Silicone toe orthoses
Moulded on your toes to protect or space them: claw or hammer toes, corns, rubbing.
Bunion night splints
Worn at night to support the position of the big toe and the comfort of the forefoot.
Sports & ski bootfitting
Running, trail, tennis, padel, team sports, triathlon, skiing. Pierre-Emmanuel is a marathon runner himself.
From assessment to fitting
The assessment
About 45 minutes. Bring the shoes you wear most, including sports shoes, and any prescription or medical reports.
Made in the workshop
Your orthotics are made by hand on site, not outsourced, so lead times are short. Tell us if you have a race or a trip coming up.
Fitting & follow-up
Orthotics are tried in your shoes and adjusted on the spot. They are guaranteed for six months: adjusted or remade until you are comfortable.
